Gov's Amendments Triple Elk Licenses Given to Nonresident Landowners

Instead of signing a bill that would give elk licenses to nonresidents who own lots of land, the Governor’s Office returned it to the Legislature with amendments. New York State Lead Ammunition Ban 2023 Legislation

Assembly Bill A2084A (active currently for the 2023-2024 legislative session) prevents the use of lead ammunition in the taking of wildlife on state-owned lands and on lands contributing surface water to the New York City water supply.
