Aaron Hebeisen

Chapter Coordinator

A native of East-central Minnesota, Aaron Hebeisen grew up playing hockey, hunting, and recreating outdoors. His lifelong passion for wild animals and an outdoor lifestyle led him to earn a Bachelor of Science in Animal Ecology from Iowa State University. Positions with the Minnesota Conservation Corps., Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and U.S. Department of Agriculture in wildlife disease research cemented his excitement for protecting and teaching people about the natural world. This culminated in Aaron teaching, before working in the hunting industry.

Aaron has been a BHA member since 2016, serving five years on the Minnesota Chapter Board prior to becoming a full-time Chapter Coordinator.

Aaron now lives in southeastern Minnesota with his wife, Olivia, and their son, Carter. Aaron gets out in the field as often as possible where he can enjoy the intimate connection to nature that comes with hunting, sharing a camp or duck blind with friends and family, and testing his mettle in new places and against new species.

In his spare time, Aaron teaches R3 courses and mentors new adult hunters, imparting the importance of good hunting ethics, ecosystem-level ecology, and how outdoorsmen and women play a vital role in managing wildlife and wild places.
