Zack Williams grew up in West Michigan where he developed a love for bass and steelhead fishing, and November river-bottom treestand sits for whitetailed deer. His pursuits of steelhead took him all over the Pacific Northwest before meeting his wife, Kelly, and finally settling in Missoula, Montana. 

He now enjoys backpacking with his wife, baby girl and dogs or chasing elk in wild places, usually ending up somewhere with a lack of trails and too many blowdowns.
