Brittany Parker was born and raised in Rifle, Colorado, and now lives at 10,200 feet in Leadville where she tends to her chickens and honeybees.
She began fishing with her dad when she was old enough to hold a rod, and spent most of her childhood in the woods camping, fishing, and snowboarding. It wasn’t until later in life that Brittany found hunting; She fell in love with the connection she felt to nature after romping around in the Colorado Rockies, carrying her bow, and looking for critters.
In a previous life, Brittany started a business teaching whitewater stand-up paddling and river surfing, traveling around the country – and the world – in her van and exploring rivers and teaching river stewardship to others. She has also worked in river restoration, county government in the Open Space and Natural Resources Department, and pursued her under graduate degree in Sustainability Studies.
When not employed by BHA, Brittany has consistently volunteered as a Chapter Leader for the Colorado Chapter of BHA.
