Proposed mining operation near Okefenokee NWR

Recently, Twin Pines Minerals LLC of Birmingham, Alabama filed a permit to mine titanium dioxide near The Okefenokee Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. The Okefenokee Swamp (which is the largest Federal Wildlife Refuge east of the Mississippi River) is no stranger to potential mines. Summer 2019 Idaho Chapter News

Our Idaho Chapter was very busy preparing for the 2019 Rendezvous in Boise May 1-4th. A groundswell of volunteers stepped up to promote and coordinate numerous details leading into hosting the 8th annual event in downtown Boise. BHA members were similarly effective at the Statehouse this recent legislative session. Summer 2019 Colorado Chapter News

The Colorado BHA chapter recently appointed two new Chapter Leadership Team members: John Barkowski, serving as our Assistant Regional Director for the Southeast Colorado Group, and Michael Kozer, volunteering as our Assistant Regional Director for the Central Rockies Group. Summer 2019 North Carolina Chapter News

North Carolina BHA closed out its first full year this past May at Rendezvous 2019 in Boise, ID. What an incredible ride it has been! Summer 2019 Kentucky Chapter News
