Colorado BHA Remembers Chapter Patriarch Bill Sustrich

Colorado Backcountry Hunters & Anglers (BHA) member, William “Bill” Henry Sustrich, 91, of Salida died on July 25, 2018. He was two months shy of 92 years old. “He enjoyed BHA so we have asked for memorial donations to be sent to BHA among a few other programs or organizations,” his daughter, Andi, said. Idaho BHA leads volunteer cleanup effort on Salmon River

On July 21, the Idaho chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers organized a volunteer stewardship project along the Salmon River.  Sixteen people from around Idaho floated a section of the river below Challis and concentrated their efforts on removing weeds and trash from the islands in the river. The event was organized by Ace Hess, BHA High Divide Coordinator,  and received ample help from Challis BLM staff and local businesses. Idaho BHA submits comments to USFS supporting re-opening of access point for hunters

Idaho BHA co-signed a letter to the North Fork Ranger District of the Salmon-Challis National Forest (SCNF) regarding the Hoodoo Airstrip Maintenance Project.  The Hoodoo airstrip is an existing airstrip just outside the border of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. Wisconsin BHA supports new CWD restrictions within the state

On May 2nd Governor Walker announced new efforts to combat CWD within the state of Wisconsin.  CWD is a legitimate threat to our hunting heritage in Wisconsin.  These included three main steps to be taken. WIBHA - Action Alert - Help Protect Wisconsin's Roadless Areas
