Fall 2019 Oklahoma Chapter News

The Oklahoma chapter was officially accredited in May and immediately set lofty goals for the upcoming year. Our inaugural State Rendezvous was held July 26th- 28th on the Upper Illinois River.  Folks enjoyed a pint night, two nights of camping, a fish fry and a 12-mile float down the river – picking up trash, fishing and spreading the good words of BHA.    We celebrated the opening of almost 8,000 acres of new public land in Southeast Oklahoma!  The Sans Bois WMA will be open for use this ...

Fall 2019 Oregon Chapter News

The 2019 summer has proven to be both busy and trying for NDBHA.  We’ve dealt with multiple project cancellations due to weather and logistical issues. However, we were able to complete the Whitetail Picnic Area renovation in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service in July.  In addition to work projects, we’ve been refining our event formats to make better use of time and exposure. We’ve started to roll out new events like “Bows and Beers” to add a little flavor to our event calendar. ...

Fall 2019 North Dakota Chapter News

Fall 2019 Indiana Chapter News

The Indiana chapter hit the ground running after being officially accredited in May. The Board of Directors decided on several strategic priorities that are both consistent with the overall goals of BHA and specific to Indiana’s unique needs: invasive species, chronic wasting disease, education and outreach. Fall 2019 Idaho Chapter News

The Idaho chapter has been particularly busy this summer. This August we launch our second annual Learn to Hunt class for new adult hunters. We anticipate easily filling the twenty available student slots. This five session class includes: safety, ethics, scouting, sighting in rifles, and field dressing big game. Fall 2019 Colorado Chapter News

Fall 2019 Kansas Chapter News

Kansas chapter of BHA is official! The North American board approved our chapter application in May after a lot of effort by a lot of people. New England BHA Members Get Ready for Deer Hunting

September 14, 2019, Morrisville, VT – Members of the New England Chapter gathered to hike and shoot in preparation for rifle deer season. With a nod to the Olympic sport of Biathlon, hunters hiked four laps through the woods to accumulate two miles and shot two rounds per lap at steel targets, utilizing multiple shooting positions with their deer rifles.
