Happy Conservation Holidays from Alaska BHA

Author: Mary Glaves
Great news for Alaska's Public Lands to wrap up 2024!  On December 8, 2024, a significant win for conservation was achieved when an amendment mandating the Department of the Interior to permit the 211-mile Ambler Industrial Road was quietly removed from the final draft of the National Defense Authorization Act during conference negotiations.  This victory wouldn’t have been possible without the tireless advocacy of hunters, anglers, and committed conservation ...

I decided to begin smoking most of my goose breasts, vacuum sealing, and then freezing. I then thaw, slice thin, and use as a lunch meat substitute. I’ve used all kind of ...

Valley County is for Public Land Owners

Author: Nate Collins
As the Utah lawsuit to seize our public lands rages on, some of our elected officials in Idaho are jumping on Utah’s bandwagon to destroy our public land heritage. In October we saw Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador demonstrate brazen disregard for Idahoan’s love of our wild spaces when he submitted an amicus brief to the Supreme Court voicing his support of the state of Utah. And last week we saw Valley County Commissioners attempt to insert themselves into the wrong side of this ...
