RECAP: Southeast Chapter Small Game Hunt

On February 22, 2025, the Southeast Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers organized a small game hunt at Sherburne Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Lottie, Louisiana. This event combined hunting with conservation efforts, reflecting BHA's commitment to preserving public lands. Southeast Chapter opposes construction impacts on Swan Creek WMA

Support HB 1147 and Year-round Hunting and Trapping of Raccoons and Possums

The Georgia Chapter board supports Georgia House Bill 1147. This bill will allow for year-round hunting and trapping of raccoons and possums. These animals are notorious nest predators and reducing their populations will protect the ground nests of birds like turkey and quail while their eggs incubate.
