NM Youth Hunter Benefits from Soules Family Elk Tag Donation

Since 2021, the family of late game commissioner and conservationist David Soules has generously donated a private land elk authorization to New Mexico BHA with the aim of getting one more public land hunter a chance at harvesting. NM Waterfowl Hunters Comment on 2019 State Land Closure

The New Mexico State Land office is undergoing a public planning process for the 212 acre parcel of state land adjacent to Valle de Oro that was unilaterally closed to waterfowl hunting by the state land office in 2019. Water Flows Again in the Black Range

Many thanks to hunter, conservationist and BHA member Norm Gruner as well as Andrew Gruner, Mark Hakkila (BHA, RMEF and MDF member), RMEF and MDF, for fixing a critical water source.While hunting in the Gila in 2018, Norm and his fellow bowhunters went to check out a watering hole in the area.
