From the tip of the panhandle to the shores of the Arctic Ocean, Alaska boasts over 220 million acres of federal public land and nearly 100 million acres of state land. These vast tracts offer unparalleled opportunities for adventure, challenge, and connection with nature. However, they also present unique and diverse challenges for those committed to preserving our outdoor traditions and the backcountry experience.
As a Chapter, we recognize and value Alaska's uniqueness. Our Chapter Board is dedicated to building strong, diverse coalitions across the state's regions and communities. We aim to continually learn from and engage with our members and supporters statewide. We are committed to maintaining a grassroots, volunteer based organization that stands up for Alaska's wild public lands, waters, and wildlife.
