Are you looking to give back to those wild places in Wisconsin that you hunt and fish and ensure access to those places for generations to come?

The Wisconsin Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers is looking for conservation leaders to serve on the Chapter Board of Directors. Board members will help us plan outreach events, set up stewardship projects, and further BHA's mission and impact in our home state of Wisconsin.

Wisconsin BHA has been hard at work during 2024 funding and maintaining CWD dump stations, engaging new hunters through multiple R3 events, and advocating for protecting and increasing public access with state and local legislators, and hope to do even more in 2025.

We are looking for 3 new members to add to our board:
  • (1) Events chair: Coordinate statewide events (pint nights, archery shoots, etc) to engage existing members, recruit new members, and fundraise to help defend our public lands & waters
  • (1) Board-member-at-large, focused on Habitat Stewardship: assist Stewardship Chair (Tom Olson) in planning habitat stewardship initiatives statewide such as habitat improvement workdays, conservation partnerships, and stewardship education
  • (1) Board-member-at-large, focused on Grant writing/applications: manage applications to various grant funding sources to expand BHA's mission and impact around public access, stewardship, conservation, and R3.

*Applications are due February 28th
