California BHA 2022 Policy Recap

California BHA has been firing on all cylinders in 2022 not only with a record number of stewardship projects, but also on policy matters and advocating in the legislature.

The Chapter signed 18 policy letters this year, 8 of which were authored by our board, on subjects like the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument, the Chumash National Marine Sanctuary, conservation land priorities for LWCF funding, wild and scenic rivers, migration corridors,Ā opposition to a petition to ban black bear hunting, trespass marijuana cultivation and more.
