Josh Kaywood / Monday, April 29, 2019 / Categories: Media, Chapter News SE Chapter Advisory Board To Advance Influence In The Region Southeast Chapter BHA Advisory Council The Southeast Chapter would like to engage a greater number of influencers from the general membership of the chapter. These members generally have a strong personal brand within the outdoor industry and, due to their positions, do not have the time to actively participate in the Chapter Board. Our chapter is better with this group of members involved and the intent of the Advisory Council is to provide recognition above that of a general member; an official platform to promote the Chapter; and a voice directly to the Chapter Board of Directors on issues, direction, and business of the Chapter. The Goal of the Council Promote the Backcountry Hunters and Anglers and Southeast Chapter organizations to a wider audience. Provide insight to the Chapter Board from the greater outdoor industry on issues related to our region. Nominate other members for inclusion to the Advisory Board. Overall, the intent is to not take away time from any current responsibility yet allow each Council member the opportunity to participate as their time and situation allows. Requirements of Advisory Members Accept initial appointment to the Council. Promote BHA and Southeast Chapter via personal brand outlets as well as announcing appointed position. Provide input to the Southeast Chapter Board on issues as you see them. Attend events as available. Attend quarterly call. Requirement of Chapter Board Provide periodic update to the Advisory Council members on Chapter operations. Provide draft of yearly operating plan for review and comment. Advisory Members Josh Raggio (MS): Duck caller, hunter and master call maker. Damon Bungard (TN): Went from kayaks to coolers to dog kennels under the Jackson and Orion brands in TN. Trad bow shooter, and hunts all over the place. Spoke at our last storytelling event. Gene Jenson (GA): Has likely taught more folks to fish through YouTube than Bill Dance at this point. Gene spoke at our first storytelling event. Also a former Army guy! Clay Newcomb (AR): Clay runs Bear Hunting Magazine, had a favorite film in the Public Land Film Fest and is a trad bow hunter! Nick Hoffman (TN): Host of Nick’s Wild Ride on the Outdoor Channel, and can pretty much play any instrument with strings. Nick spoke at our first storytelling event and brought the house down. Lake Pickle (MS): Lake started as videographer at Primos, and is truly living the dream there.
