Public land owners enjoy BHA Public Land Owner Film Fest in Boise

On July 31st approximately 100 public land owners joined Idaho BHA for a screening of the Public Land Owner Film Festival at Idaho BHA chapter sponsor Rivertons store in Eagle, ID.  Guests were treated to a series of short films highlighting recreation, hunting and fishing on public lands.  Originally premiering at the 2019 BHA National Rendezvous, the films included archery hunts, backcountry fly fishing, mule deer migrations, mountain bike fishing trips and many others.  The stories served to highlight the common values and identities shaped by public land wild spaces.  

In addition to the films, guests were educated on pressing local conservation issues such as the BLM Four Rivers Resource Management Plan, which will affect approximately 800,000 acres of public land in Southwest Idaho.  Guests were encouraged to take action and provided information on how to comment on the plan to encourage prioritizing hunting, fishing and access in the management of these public lands.
