The Oregon State Parks and Recreation Commission nominated individuals from across Oregon to serve on the task force, including Chris Hager, an Oregon BHA chapter leader. "Oregon BHA is incredibly grateful to have been given the opportunity to represent sportsmen on Oregon’s first ever Governor's Task Force on Outdoor Recreation," Chris commented. "We are pleased to see outdoor recreation finally receive the economic and political consideration it is due. We are proud to be working to ensure that hunters and anglers are part of the conversation and will work to ensure that access to healthy, thriving habitat remains a reality to Oregon's outdoorsmen and women for generations to come." Oregon's outdoor recreation economy is estimated at a staggering $16.4 billion. Notably, 69% of Oregon residents recreate outdoors each year, according to the Outdoor Industry Association.
