The purchase would move 15,573 acres of land from private ownership (Hancock Land Management) to state-owned, safeguarding this important fish & wildlife habitat for generations to come. It's part of an active migration corridor, and hosts spring Chinook, steelhead, bull trout and Pacific lamprey. Public access, including hunting, fishing, and other uses, is allowed in wildlife areas, and our chapter is looking forward to supporting this effort and others like it in the future.
