Together, we added supports and tie-backs to about 30 feet of trail, plus fresh gravel to improve drainage and protect against erosion — helping keep this beautiful trail open and accessible for everyone. 🛠️ After the work was done, our board members Justin, Clarence, and Tom set up outside Dru Bru to talk with folks about why public lands matter, and helped many take action through our action alert center to oppose the proposed public land sale. To cap off the day, Tom hosted a fly casting demo in what felt like the windiest spot in Washington — yet still had around six dedicated folks come out. One new caster even learned how to double haul! Big thanks to everyone who showed up, got their hands dirty, took action, and shared a cold one after. This is what community looks like. 🍻 Previous Article EVENT RECAP: USFS And BHA Volunteers Brush Trail in Montana's Flathead Valley Next Article BHA Habitat Stewards Rendezvous in Missoula for Fencing Project and Seminar Print 3 Rate this article: No rating Tags: washington blogWashington ChapterWashington StewardshipWashington News Arkansas BHA ChapterArkansas BHA Chapter The Arkansas Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is the voice for Arkansas' three million acres of wild public lands, waters, and wildlife.
