Idaho BHA joins Panhandle Forest Collaborative

Due to the efforts of BHA members Travis Icardo and Jeff Bynum, Idaho BHA was recently offered an official voting position on the Panhandle Forest Collaborative.  The Panhandle Forest Collaborative (PFC) has been working with the Idaho Panhandle National Forests for over 8 years. PCFC’s Executive Director, Liz Johnson-Gebhardt, is the chair of the collaborative group. Primarily, this diverse and dedicated group works with the Priest Lake District, the Sandpoint District and the northern region of the Coeur d’Alene District. They have and continue to work on developing and promoting balanced approaches to timber, wild ecosystems and recreation that contribute to sustainable social, environmental and economic viability. The PFC’s goals include reducing litigation, promoting sustainable operations, enhancing travel and recreation opportunities, maintaining infrastructure for timber, ranching and recreation, and conserving native ecosystems.
