BHA Podcast & Blast, Bonus Episode: Live From The Public Land Owner Pale Ale Release Party and LWCF Rally

Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is celebrating local beers and local outdoor businesses at the launch of the Public Land Owner beer at Missoula, Montana’s recently reborn Highlander Beer – a brand that dates back to Montana’s founding days, the beer of the logger, the miner, the cowboy, the frontiersman and woman. Highlander is thriving in the new dawn of local brews, local produce and local meat. Hal talks with Highlander cofounder Marc Pierce, Todd Frank, who established the Trailhead, one of Montana’s first and best brick and mortar outdoor gear stores, and the inimitable public lands warrior and beer drinker Land Tawney. What do we talk about? Everything, from LWCF and lunch beers to the perils of selling the best quality outdoor gear (it is a one-time purchase) and the absolute necessity of spirited debate, aspirational businesses and an aspirational life (with beers).
