Joel Weltzien / Wednesday, February 5, 2025 / Categories: Media, Chapter News, State Issues BHA Defends Coyote Hunting and Commission Processes in CA Next week, the California Fish & Game Commission will consider acting on a recommendation by the Wildlife Resources Committee (WRC) that C.C.R. § 472 be amended to remove coyotes. CA BHA opposes any restriction on hunting in the state that does not include appropriate scientific rationale. Additionally, the actions of the WRC are inconsistent with with the Commission's mandate to provide appropriate public notice and details of the Commission agenda. BHA has partnered with several other organizations in writing and submitting a letter opposing this consideration to remove coyotes from C.C.R. § 472. Click here to the full letter.
