Volunteers met to clean up large piles of debris discarded on public lands attributed to historic logging operations. The area was then seeded with a grassland seed. After a wiener roast, the volunteers transported 4 pickup loads and a large trailer of nearly 5,000lbs of the refuse to the landfill. A big thanks to the 16 members that donated their time and trucks. Special thanks to Joe Kotlarz for volunteering his tractor; Pat Fraser for providing a trailer and the Regional District of East Kootenay for waiving dumping fees at the landfill.
