A bluebird day, good shooting, and even better company. On August 16, the Vermont Team of BHA’s New England Chapter gathered at the Northeast Kingdom Skeet & Sporting Clays Club in Burke, VT for our annual Bustin’ Clays with BHA—a fun morning on the course followed by lunch and fellowship.

We lucked out with perfect weather—calm, clear, and ideal for breaking birds. Steve Agius from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service joined us on the line and gave a quick rundown of the non-lead ammunition rebate program at the Silvio Conte Fish and Wildlife Refuge. After a solid morning on the course, we shared a great lunch and caught up with old friends while welcoming new faces. With a thorough pre-shoot safety brief, lots of smiles, and steady improvement station to station, the day delivered exactly what we hoped for.

A special thank you to the following

  • Northeast Kingdom Skeet & Sporting Clays Club, for a great hosts and a beautiful course.

  • Event Sponsors: Goodwin & Montgomery LLC and Profiture, we appreciate your backing of conservation and community.

  • Matt Breton, New England Vice Chair with VT Team Leaders, Dave Furman, Travis Tremblay, Eric Nuse, and Ethan Dreissigacker as well as all attendees & volunteers: your time, safety-first attitude, and positive energy made the day.
