BrownsThe Interior Department and Department of Agriculture recently announced that they will be hosting a public open house meeting on December 6th at 12:00 PM at the SteamPlant Event Center in Salida (220 W Sackett Ave, Salida, CO 81201).  The focus of the meeting is for administrative staff to gauge public support for the designation of Brown’s Canyon as a National Monument.

Since before it’s inception the members that now make-up Colorado Backcountry Hunters & Anglers have actively advocated for protection of this important landscape.  After more than 20 years of ongoing work, the fate of protecting Browns’ gold medal fishing waters and rugged backcountry habitat could all boil down to the support we’re able to demonstrate at this one meeting.

It is crucial that we show-up and portray an accurate representation of the widespread support that the Brown’s Canyon National Monument has had for years now.  Please consider joining us and speaking-up in support of protecting Brown's Canyon.
