Mountains to Sound Greenway Trailfest RECAP

Mountains to Sound Greenway Trailfest RECAP
This weekend, BHA members teamed up with the Mountains to Sound Greenway crew to give some love back to the Cheese Rock Trail near Cle Elum. Together, we added supports and tie-backs to about 30 feet of trail, plus fresh gravel to improve drainage and protect against erosion — helping keep this beautiful trail open and accessible for everyone. 🛠️

After the work was done, our board members Justin, Clarence, and Tom set up outside Dru Bru to talk with folks about why public lands matter, and helped many take action through our action alert center to oppose the proposed public land sale.

To cap off the day, Tom hosted a fly casting demo in what felt like the windiest spot in Washington — yet still had around six dedicated folks come out. One new caster even learned how to double haul!
Big thanks to everyone who showed up, got their hands dirty, took action, and shared a cold one after. This is what community looks like. 🍻
